I needed to write something, as I always do, and I believe the best way of writing is when you’re on a train. Right now I am enroute Krakow from Wroclaw, Poland and listening to the song Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which reminded me to share what I felt after watching the movie. When I had just started blogging I planned to write fictions only. Eventually, poems happened and then articles. True stories, there were none until “Was She Raped?” happened. People reveal their inner selves in their blogs and I still do not have the guts to. Nor do I intend to (Nope, I don’t :-P). But then sometimes a diary knows too much of you and you just want it (which is basically you) to shut up. These are the times when you need to blog. Acknowledging the fact that not many people read your blog helps you even more (Not now, they don’t. The number of my readers, of late, has only decreased :-/) It so happened last weekend that I just couldn’t face my diary no matter how much I tried. It is not simply a story of how he achieved stardom but it also teaches the viewers how one can overcome his fears and leave behind a macabre past. It also proves those axioms that say hard work pays off and that determination and focus are keys to achieving success. Nice effort by  John Abraham  to act.. better than whats expected of him..  commendable performance by  Prachi Desai  , coming out of her comfort zone of being "shy and sweet" to someone who is feisty .. Chitrangada Singh  looked as suave and chic as she always does, but seems like she was typecasted as all her characters played in the movies she was a part of, were comparatively similar.. Raima Sen  played her character well but she along with  Sameer Soni seemed barely necessary in the movie and they didn't have much to contribute. they are not to be blamed and we know that .. nice and plausible story.. poor screenplay.. the first few minutes were fun..rest were enjoyable in bits and pieces.. good for a one-time watch.. conclusion- could have been better!

What seemed to be like a simple story decorated with funny dialogues, turned out to be much more. Political satire and rom-com are one of the many categories the movie can be put under. Nevertheless it’s the first movie of this year worth watching or at least giving a try. It’s a mélange of adorable characters with some serious and some out of the way issues. Vishal Bharadwaj has successfully converted the whimsical story into a 160minutes long light-hearted and watchable movie. Tolerable? Yes. Enjoyable? Yes. Emotion-triggering? Not at all. When some of the best actors of the country like Pankaj Kapur and Shabana Azmi are involved in the movie, the performance has to be highly commendable and it, without a trace of doubt, is. A huge fan I am of the actor Salman Khan, but as asked by my friends for an unbiased review (i.e. assuming it was just another actor and not THE Salman Khan) here it goes: 5 stars is what I would give it just after recalling Salman's face once, but "committing" to my promise as stated above, I am giving it somewhere between 4 and 4.5 stars. Now, I know that many critics have given it 3 stars but ignoring every other review or the star's charisma I give it a 4 that goes solely to the movie. One star I have deducted because the dialogues at the very first scene did not live up-to my expectations. Nor was Salman looking his very best (I felt like he was having a cold or the likes of that).  The action scenes were not over shown or dramatic like that of Bodyguard’s (albeit it came as a nice surprise to me).
